A specialized foot massage developed in the early 1900s and based on Ancient Egyptian and Chinese healing techniques, which addresses specific points on the feet (reflexes) to affect other parts of the body including specific organs and glands. Zones and reflex points of the feet are manipulated and massaged to relax the entire body, eliminate toxins and enhance internal organ functions.
A 30 minute treatment is typically for more general relaxation and overall well-being, with limited specific work on any reflexes of concern; 60 minutes allows time to include the general relaxation and reflex techniques along with more focus on specific reflexes as needed.
Our massage appointments are scheduled to allow ample time for your intake consultation, disrobing (for foot reflexology you are asked only to remove shoes and socks), and dressing afterward without taking away from your treatment time. If you have specific concerns which may require an extended consultation with your therapist, please request additional consultation time (complimentary) to be added to your appointment.
