Microdermabrasion - a healthy way to exfoliate
Dry, uneven skin? Sun spots, wrinkles, mature skin? Oily, seasonal acne or post-partum blemishes?
The word microdermabrasion refers to a medical procedure that abrades the epidermis and a small part of the dermis. "Abrades" by definition means to "rub away". In this case, we simply slough off the flattened skin cells by way of aluminum crystals (fine in texture) and forced air from a tube that then vacuums up the exfoliated cells off the skin. It is a non-invasive procedure similar to a windburn, only it's a healthy procedure that causes no damage. After the flattened cells are removed, your skin has the ability to rejuvenate itself and allow the "plump" cells beneath to emerge creating a natural glow and skin texture remarkably finer and much more balanced.
Most experts agree that six treatments is the optimum; however it is best to consult your skincare specialist and determine how many in actuality you need. Most cients do well with only three treatments followed by regular facials. Our microderm treatments always include a facial treatment. It is our philosophy to make sure your skin is in optimum condition upon leaving and this is our most cleansing and purifying of all facials.

"Helix", what exactly does that mean? It is the simple art of combining science and mathematics with a specific pair of shears that create "C" shapings into the hairshaft. The helix is the art of reshaping the the hairshaft by creating a fuller natural wave or in some cases by reversing the wave and creating a more natural straightened appearance. The cut is dependent upon the texture, density, and integrity of the hair. It is best to consult our technician on whether your hair is suited for this particular cut.
